At a moment when access to capital is shrinking and long-standing equity initiatives are being scaled back, women of color developers continue to face disproportionate barriers to getting projects funded, built, and sustained.
This convening creates space for honest conversation, shared insight, and practical thinking around what it will take to continue advancing affordable housing, commercial development, and community investment led by women of color.
Rather than traditional panels, these conversations are designed to bring participants into dialogue with one another. Together, we will explore both the challenges and opportunities shaping the current landscape and identify actionable ways to support continued access to capital and long-term growth.
Conversation I
Is It Me? Or Is It Them?
A candid conversation among women developers about growth, barriers, relationships, opportunity, and what it takes to move projects forward in today’s climate. What are you navigating? What’s getting in the way? What possibilities are you still pushing toward?
Conversation II
What Will It Take?
A direct conversation with lenders, capital partners, and industry stakeholders about the realities of investing in developers of color right now. What needs to change? What partnerships, strategies, or structures are needed to sustain investment and momentum in this moment?
Attendees will also have the opportunity to submit questions and topics in advance to help shape the discussion.
